鎌倉ハイランド自治会への入会案内 (English follows)
鎌倉ハイランドは鎌倉市の東南の高台に位置し、鎌倉・逗子ハイランドのうち北側約３分の１、鎌倉市に属する部分で、逗子側に続いて約35年前 開発入居が始まりました。
周囲はサクラ、シイ、ケヤキ、クヌギなど植生の豊かな丘陵地で、岩殿寺から報国寺に通じる由緒ある古道も残っています。バス通りに沿った桜並木は、春先に見事な花のトンネルを作ってくれます。四季折々に朝日,夕日の富士山や伊豆、大山連峰、相模湾の絶景を一望出来る名所が衣張山、鎌倉幼稚園脇の展望地、水道山・・とこと欠きません。
開発当初は若い家族100戸ばかりの新興住宅地で、会社務めの若いお父さんは帰宅後ネクタイ姿で、毎夜遅くまで自治会の仕事をこなしておられたそうです。それから３０数年経過して高齢化が進む一方で、若い世代への交代も始まり、学童達の数も若干盛り返してきました。
この小冊子は，鎌倉ハイランド自治会へご入会の皆様へのささやかなガイドです。
わからないことはお気軽に隣近所の方や自治会の組長、幹事、役員等へお尋ねください。
自治会員の活動
組織
自治会の組織は、近隣の10戸～20戸の道路で囲まれた一つの区域を組と称し、現在３１組があります。それぞれの組から組長を選出します。
また、1乃至3組で作る14個の幹事の選出区があります。また後述の様に街全体を3つに分けた、第1～第3ブロックと称するブロック。それぞれのブロックから幹部役員を選出して組織しています。
自治会役員は半年又は１年交代で担当していただく組長、14の選出区から選出される幹事、及び任期２年の各ブロックから推薦された幹部役員で構成されています。
ブロック分けについて
ハイランド自治会では町内を大きく ３つのブロックに分けています。西側から第１ブロック、第２ブロック、第３ブロックと呼んでいます。
第１ブロックはP組及び１組から１０組まで、第２ブロックは１１組から２０組まで、第３ブロックは２１組から３０組までと区分けしています。
このブロック分けを利用して、自治会役員の選出区分にしたり、防犯パトロールやクリーンデーの担当区域などを決めたりしています。
その他に、開発当初に区画毎につけた、I～N及びP,東などと言う区画を表す言い方も使っています。
加入手続き(Neighborhood Association Membership Application)
自治会への加入は、「鎌倉ハイランド自治会加入申込書」を近くの組長までご提出ください。
鎌倉ハイランドの住民は誰でも世帯ごとに会員になることが出来ます。

自治会費の納入
自治会にご加入いただきますと、会費の納入をお願いしています。会費はご入会の翌月から月300円で半期（９月まで）または全期分（３月まで）をまとめて組長経由で財務部へ納入していただきます。
こども会への加入
小学1年生から６年生まで加入する子供会があります。通学している学校にかかわらず小学生は全員会員になります。入会金や会費はいりません。
自治会よりの補助金で運営されています。新入生歓迎会や盆踊り大会、市民運動会の選手選出、レクリェーション、お別れ会などを行っています。
お子様のお名前と学年、通学校名などを近くの子供会役員までお届けください。
現在子供会の世話をする役員は2年生の保護者がその任に当っています。

Let's Join a Town Association!
Town associations and neighborhood associations (jichi-kai) are independent organizations made up of residents of the community in the neighborhood area.
Through various activities, residents work together to make their neighborhood area safe, comfortable, and rich in interpersonal ties.
These organizations are financed by membership fees (￥300/monthly),donations from supporters, subsidies from Kamakura City, and other funds.
《Activities Conducted by Town Associations and Neighborhood Associations》
Keeping the Community Safe:Crime prevention and fire prevention patrols as well as disaster preparedness drills (bosai kunren) are conducted. Necessary equipment is kept in case of a disaster.
Keeping an Eye on the Children of the Community:People participate in the Program in which adults keep an eye on children at around 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. as they commute to/from schoolas well as conduct activities to encourage the wholesome development of children, such as a family recreation program.
Ensuring that the Elderly Can Live with Peace of Mind:People participate in the Fureai Support Program in which people in the community help each other in various ways and conduct such activities as accompanying neighbors who are unable to evacuate by themselves to evacuation sites in a disaster.
Protecting the Environment of the Community:People conduct recycling activities (the collection of recyclable resources) and cleanup activities in the community.
Creating Opportunities to Make Friends in the Community:Events in which families can participate together and the Zushi highland Resident’s Festival (Bonodori) are organized.
Relaying Information Quickly within the Community:By using bulletin boards of the associations and the City Office and passing out kairanban (notices for circulation) among neighbors, important information is made known as soon as possible.
Contributing to Society in a Wide Variety of Ways:Social welfare programs,such as Japan Red Cross donations and Community Chest campaigns, are conducted.
